By creating an account or using ChalkPay (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
ChalkPay is a free tool that helps teachers and educators verify their paychecks, track supplements and deductions, log leave, and plan their careers. You configure your own pay structure; ChalkPay computes what your paycheck should be from the information you provide.
3. Calculations Are Informational Only
ChalkPay is a mirror, not a guide: every calculation reflects the salary, supplement, and deduction amounts you enter. ChalkPay does not know your district's salary schedule, contract, or payroll rules, and its output is not legal, financial, tax, or payroll advice. Always verify discrepancies with your payroll office before acting on them. While we work hard to make the math correct, we cannot guarantee any particular outcome.
4. Accounts
- You are responsible for the security of your account and email.
- You must provide a valid email address to sign in.
- One account per person.
5. A Free Service
ChalkPay is free. There are no fees, tiers, or paid features. If that ever changes, we will disclose it clearly before anything is charged.
6. Data and Privacy
Our Privacy Policy describes what we collect and how we use it. ChalkPay handles your pay information only — no student data, no district records.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChalkPay and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including decisions made based on its calculations. Our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to $50.
8. Termination
We may suspend accounts that violate these terms or abuse the Service. You may request deletion of your account and data at any time.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised “Effective” date at the top.
